Complementary Cancer Care is a non-profit organization located in Brevard County, Florida, providing support services, classes, and resources for cancer patients, survivors, and caregivers – all at no cost!  When the pandemic hit in early 2020, they quickly moved all of their classes and support group meetings from a local studio to entirely online, using Zoom.

While they embraced technology to be able to continue to provide much needed services for the cancer community, their current website/registration system was not as user-friendly as they would have liked.  Understanding that ease of use was critical, we launched their new Word Press site on January 2, 2021, to begin the new year.

We continued to provide support services as their clients transitioned to the new registration system and we were pleased to see an increase in participation during the month of January.

Remember, HEAL does not necessarily mean CURE, but instead refers to a state where someone experiences less suffering and feels more whole, no matter their diagnosis or prognosis.

Complementary Cancer Care programs complement medical treatment and fill the gaps between patient and person:

  • Weekly movement classes address body changes
  • Monthly support groups and creative expression classes address changes in relationships
  • Seasonal educational talks and a library of resources empower through information and new ideas on the road to healing

 

As a recent cancer survivor, I have benefitted greatly from the services offered at Complete Cancer Care and was pleased when they selected Computer Management Corp to design their new website.  Our goal was to create a site that would attract and encourage cancer patients, survivors and caregivers to take advantage of the resources and programs available to them. With programs currently being offered online, participation is not limited geographically.
